SyncSalez fit report
A guide to how well SyncSalez fits, worked out from your answers rather than a measured figure.
This explains what the SyncSalez Vendor app collects when you run your store on it, why, and what say you have over it.
SyncSalez Vendor is a mobile app that lets vendors run their store — products, orders, staff, and payouts — from a phone, with offline support. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what choices you have.
This policy is issued by SyncSalez Ltd., a company registered in Nigeria (“we,” “us,” “our”). It applies to anyone who downloads or uses the SyncSalez Vendor app.
This policy covers the SyncSalez Vendor app only — the app vendors use to manage their own store. It does not cover any separate SyncSalez customer-facing app or website, which may have its own policy.
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs in this app, and we do not show ads.
When you create an account and operate your store, you provide:
The app requests the following device permissions. Each is optional at the OS level — you can decline or revoke it later in your device settings, though some features won’t work without it.
| Permission | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| Camera | Scanning product QR codes and barcodes; capturing photos for products or catalogue covers |
| Photo library | Choosing existing images to upload as product photos or catalogue covers |
| Microphone | Recording video within the app, where you choose to use that feature |
| Location | Placing your branch on the map and powering map-based store features (Android) |
| Bluetooth | Connecting to nearby receipt printers to print customer receipts |
| Notifications | Delivering order, sync, and account push notifications to your device |
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us, as permitted by your Google account settings. We use this only to create and authenticate your account.
SyncSalez Vendor is offline-first: your account, orders, transactions, payout, and customer data are kept in an encrypted local database on your device so the app keeps working without a connection, and synced to our servers when you’re back online. If you use a shared or borrowed device, sign out to clear locally cached data.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the app:
| Provider | Purpose | What’s shared |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Sign-In) | Account authentication | Name, email, profile photo |
| Expo push service | Delivers push notifications, relayed through Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM) | Device push token, notification content |
| Google Maps Platform | Displaying and geocoding branch locations | Branch address, map coordinates |
| Our cloud hosting providers | Hosting our servers and databases | Account, business, and transaction data |
We may also share information: with your consent; to comply with a law, subpoena, or legal process; to enforce our terms or protect the rights, property, or safety of SyncSalez, our vendors, or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we’ll notify you.
Data stored on your device is encrypted at rest. Data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Access to production data is restricted to personnel who need it to operate the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we can’t guarantee absolute security.
We keep your account and store data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to keep records — for example, transaction records needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
As a Nigerian-registered company, we process personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (“NDPA”). If you’re in Nigeria, you have the right to be informed of how your data is processed, to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have it erased or processing restricted in certain cases, to data portability, and to object to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
As we expand into other countries, vendors located there may also be entitled to rights under local law — for example CCPA/CPRA in California or the UK/EU GDPR — and we will update this section to name those rights specifically once we operate in those markets.
SyncSalez Vendor is a business tool for vendors and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly onboard or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your information is currently stored and processed in Nigeria. As SyncSalez grows into other markets, including a planned US entity, your information may also be stored and processed in those countries. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers are protected consistently with this policy and applicable law.
We may update this policy as the app changes — including as SyncSalez registers new entities and enters new markets. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, notify you in the app. This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Reach out for anything relating to this policy, or to request access to or deletion of your data.
